De Zines tries to reflect what is happening in the contemporary editorial creation on the level of independent publications, how this area relates to the artistic production and social, cultural and current political environment. Around 400 international publications have been gathered from most established magazines in the market until handmade zines and a selection of experimental magazines.

The exhibition is opening on the 29th of June in La Casa Encendida, lately a central spot in Madrid’s art scene, which has been hosting and supporting several interesting events and projects covering a wide range of contemporary genres.

다양한 감성과 목소리들이 크고 작은 간행물과 잡지들로 출판되는 지금, 나진매거진은 패션이라는 범주 안에 독립적인 출판물을 지속적으로 선보이고 있습니다. 나진매거진은 인디팬턴트 성향의 출판물들 중에서 패션에 집중하는 간행물들의 종류와 밀도가 부족한 상황을 주목했습니다. 패션의 경계에서 보다 다양하고 독특한 독립출판물의 출현은 단순한 바램 내지는 기다림의 문제일까요. 사실상 공공의 역할을 기대하기 어려운 패션매거진 시장에서 패션에디터를 양성하는 영리기관들의 역할과 진정성은 많은 아쉬움으로 남습니다. 이에 나진매거진은 작지만 의미있는 역할을 시작합니다.
나진은 패션매거진이 자주출판 형태를 취하면서 겪는 어려움과 이를 극복하기 위한 도전에 관한 소기의 성과물이기도 합니다. 이는 또 다른 패션매거진이 출현하는데 있어 작게는 조언자에서 크게는 출판의 모든 맥락을 아우르는 대리자의 역할까지 자임할 수 있음을 뜻합니다. 나진매거진의 의미있는 역할이란 패션매거진의 자주출판을 함께 밟아가는 것으로 매거진의 창조적인 토대를 함께 생각하고 하나의 독립된 매체가 갖는 건강한 소비구조에 이르기까지 일련의 과정을 큐레이팅 하고자 합니다.
첫과정은 주도적이고 창의적인 작업자들을 새로운 자주출판의 이름으로 구성하는 것입니다. 모임은 일정기간 공개모집을 통해 구성되며 이렇게 모인 자발적인 의지들을 패션매거진의 형태로 엮어나가게 됩니다. 나진매거진은 5주간의 정해진 기간내에 최선의 성과를 포착하도록 섬세한 조력을 아끼지 않겠습니다.

1주 매거진 기획, 작업자의 역할분담
2주 기획안 제출, 잡지의 형태와 방향 결정
3주 세부 기획안 확정, 컨텐츠 제작
4주 컨텐츠 제작 완료, 편집디자인 작업
5주 컨텐츠 수정 보완, 편집디자인 최종완성
6주 최종 인쇄 및 배포, 피드백

참여대상 : 패션매거진 발행을 원하는 작업자와 학생 (패션에디터, 스타일리스트, 포토그래퍼, 그래픽디자이너 등)
참가비용 : 10만원 (전액 인쇄 프린트에 사용되며 본 모임에 관한 최소한의 가이드)

As a result, it may seem to appear as a visual archive.  The visual contents and flow is not consistent or polite in any sense. In the midst of these disrepancies, nazine magazine  aspired to embody the breathe and density of each and every page. Although the small amount of pages led to a lack in embodying a long breath, it is undeniable that this aim is a true success. As the contents has been joined into one issue, the theme has been appointed as ‘ZIP.’ ZIP is the english written version of ‘home’ in korean.  Also, the contents in this issue includes journals and photographs that are related to the home. We hope that the aim and direction of nazine magazine  can coexist with a long breath.
